Care & Maintenance FAQs
How do I maintain and store my angle head?
Maintaining the angle head generally means maintaining the cleanliness of your coolant and properly “winterizing” your angle head when it is out of use. We also recommend “flipping” the reaction ring after about 250 hours of service.
How long will my head last?
All parts subject to wear can be replaced indefinitely. Theoretically a head can run forever. We have tools in service today that are over 10 years old.
Can I repair the angle head in-house?
Usually yes. It can depend on the nature of the failure. Parts and repair kits are available for replacement of spindles and bearings. All individual components are available as repair parts. Motors can be replaced, but generally must be returned to us for evaluation and repair or rebuilding.
